AB0408 SYSTEMIC SCLERODERMA AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISK FACTORS: IDENTIFYING ASSOCIATIONS MINING THE BIOMEDICAL LITERATURE

چکیده
Background: A debate still exists concerning the role of occupational and environmental factors in pathogenesis systemic scleroderma (SSc). Objectives: Our aim was to explore associations between SSc utilizing an automatic semantic interpretation PubMed results. Methods: The literature search string: (“systemic sclerosis” OR “scleroderma”) AND (“occupational exposure” “environmental” “risk factor”) used retrieve abstracts from entire database, using Semantic MEDLINE 2, on 6/14/2020. This application represents a network predications (triples form subject-predicate (or relation) -object, e.g. Occupational Exposure causes Systemic Scleroderma) knowledge graph. Subject object arguments each predication are concepts Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) Metathesaurus relation is taken UMLS Network. system allows for choosing central topic (“Systemic Scleroderma”), length (3 nodes), summarization, eliminating less informative predications. Results: string retrieved 864 citations identified 6,397 by 34 types relations. Initially, we focused our attention ‘CAUSES’ type (Figure 1), displaying with 59 nodes 57 edges. this network, as having causal relationship autoimmune diseases/autoimmunity, chemicals such bleomycin, exposure, especially silica, vinyl chloride trichloroethylene, genes, including HLA non-HLA genetic polymorphisms, transcription (TFs) Fli1 KLF5, fibrosis. Eosinophilia-myalgia syndrome, toxic oil syndrome infection were all causally linked diseases. Minerals associated exposure Concepts fibrosis rare diseases, other STAT4, IR4, IR5, TLR4, TLR7 Rho-associated Kinase, monomer. Pathogenic endothelial dysfunction extracellular matrix proteins. Many papers also suggested that hormonal involved. Conclusion: Inspection graphs reveals research etiopathogenesis SSc. relations which these participate, provide more specific information. graph supports kind patterns underpin literature-based discovery. Although remains elusive, it accepted initial vascular damage driven autoimmunity abnormalities vasculature resulting activation fibroblasts various organs. Silica solvents trichloroethylene seem be most consistently suspected agents References: [1]Rindflesch TC,et al. MEDLINE: An advanced information management biomedicine. Data Mining Performance in Identifying the Risk Factors of Early Arteriovenous Fistula Failure in Hemodialysis Patients
Background and Objectives: Arteriovenous fistula is a popular vascular access method for surgical treatment of hemodialysis patients. The method, however, is associated with a high rate of early failure varying in the range of 20-60%. Predicting early Arteriovenous fistula failure and its risk factors can help reduce its incidence, its hospitalization rate, and associated costs. In this study, ...
متن کاملComparing Three Data Mining Algorithms for Identifying the Associated Risk Factors of Type 2 Diabetes
Background: Increasing the prevalence of type 2 diabetes has given rise to a global health burden and a concern among health service providers and health administrators. The current study aimed at developing and comparing some statistical models to identify the risk factors associated with type 2 diabetes. In this light, artificial neural network (ANN), support vector machines (SVMs), and multi...

متن کاملIdentifying Risk Factors for Metabolic Syndrome in Biomedical Text
Identifying risk factors and biomarkers for diseases is an important aspect of biomedical research. However, much of the underlying information resides in the research literature and is not available in executable form. We propose a methodology based on automatic semantic interpretation (using SemRep) to capture risk factors and biomarkers for diseases asserted in MEDLINE citations. In this ini...

INTRODUCTION Diabetes mellitus is a systemic disease with complications that include sight-threatening diabetic retinopathy. It is essential to understand the risk factors of diabetic retinopathy before effective prevention can be implemented. The aim of this review was to examine the association between diabetic retinopathy and systemic risk factors. METHODS A PubMed literature search was pe...
